Artist Statement

My work examines the natural world through a lens of abstraction delving into notions of memory, connectedness, identity and place. I am influenced by the natural sciences, color theory and nature.

In my canvases and works on paper I combine multiple applications of various mediums with physical manipulation of the surface to agitate the pigments and elements and affect their interactions. This multi-layered blending of elements hints at how all things interact, disperse, diffuse and bleed into one another.
