MPA Berlage Arts & Education Center Highlights & FAQ

Building from a place of strength. For 62 years, MPA has connected art and community with a demonstrated commitment to quality. Our gallery exhibitions have earned a distinctive reputation, we’ve built meaningful outreach programs, and we have and will continue to offer classes taught by professional, working artists.

Expanding to a second location allows us to:

• Grow our exhibition program with three beautiful new galleries to serve the region’s art community.
• Invigorate downtown McLean and offer hospitality to our gallery visitors.
• Build a lasting asset for MPA that provides for ongoing operating revenues.

Progressing through the steps to opening:

• MPA has purchased the space, which will be a long-term asset for the organization.
• The General Contractor has been engaged to help us do value-engineering (finding ways to save on construction costs!) in advance of final design.
• Applications for permits are in process and, once approved, build-out is expected to take 6 months.
• The Capital Campaign has reached 90% of our goal–join us as we bring our vision to life!
